Dr. Seemann was a 1983 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. He was married to Charlene Seemann, and was father to grown children Jeffrey Seemann and Amanda Seemann, DVM (LSU '15). An avid fisherman, Dr. Seemann also enjoyed time with his 3 cats. He is pictured here with hospital blood donor cat, Elwood. Dr. Seemann was a Diplomat of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a Canine and Feline Specialist. He successfully recertified for the second time in 2009, which is required by the ABVP every 10 years.
Gone but not forgotten, Dr. Seemann was a phenomenal veterinarian, partner, mentor, friend, son, husband and father. His passing in October of 2015 is still felt by all who knew him. |
Dr. Dawn Koetting

Dr. Koetting is a 1984 graduate of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced in Thibodaux since 1985. She is married to Donald Koetting. Their son Christopher rounds out their human family. Dr. Koetting enjoys pastel painting, bonsai and horseback riding, and spending time with her dog Deuce, her cat Sumi, and macaw Clyde. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners as a Canine and Feline Specialist (www.abvp.com). Dr. Koetting sucessfully recertified a second time in 2010, which is required by the ABVP every 10 years.
Dr. Koetting, retired after 35 years of practice in January 2019. Dr. Koetting's love for our rural mixed practice was evident in every farm call and with every odd creature that was brought in. She will now enjoy more time with her husband and pets, work in her garden, and explore opportunities to travel and paint.
